A large Harris hawk came to live at the Refuge transferred from the CRAR Rehabilitation Center. She entered that center after being beaten with clubs in a chicken coop. Her multiple injuries prevent her flight, so she cannot be released, but in the Refugio she lives with her companion Raco.

These stories are constantly repeated, where humans consider other predators as enemies and try to kill them. This harris hawk was just trying to feed.
