This handsome andean Caracara arrived to the Refugio with a dislocation on his right wing. Unfortunately, this type of trauma cannot be treated with surgery, so he cannot fly.
We are not sure what happened to him… he was found by a family in Cajón del Maipo, unable to fly and very skinny, next to a fence, so we believe he could have gotten stuck in it.
Due to his inability to fly, Elvis lives permanently in the Refugio, where we take care of him to give him the best possible life in his new home.

He is a very fun and playful carancho!
