He was found laying on the ground and being threatened by dogs. When he arrived to the Refuge he had an open fracture in his left wing, as a result of being shot with a BB gun lots of days before. His will to live led to the decision of amputating his wing in order to save his life.
We built him a nice place filled with bridges so that he can move easily around. He is a very agile Peuco!
Despite his amputation he can make big jumps and move peacefully around the Refuge.
To keep a bird without a wing is a very hard choice since the quality of life is very reduced for this type of animals, but Raco stays very well!
