Geranoaetus melanoleucus

A large female eagle has arrived at the Refugio because she has irreversible damage to her right wing that prevents her from flying. She has multiple fractures in a wing and a leg as a result of multiple shots from someone who tried to kill her. It was not possible to recover her flight, so she was going to be euthanized… at the Refugio we consider that we can give her a good life with Azul and we welcome her to live together.

It is a very calm eagle that plays an essential role in teaching people about its species.
