Odín

Bubo magellanicus

This beautiful Magellanic horned owl crashed into the window of a house when he was a fledgling making his first flights. The impact was very hard, so despite the effort made by our team, Odin lost one of his eyes.
Owls have excellent hearing, so they can hunt without one eye, however Odin had an accident when he was very young, so he never learned to hunt. As a team we made every effort to teach him but Odin has decided to stay with us living in the Refugio, where he lives with others of his species.
